After a long and much needed weekend away from home, we encountered a Valentine's weekend fiasco from the moment we checked-in at Del Lago. If you are curious about our experience, here's how it all unfolded.ġst problem: After a short wait in line, we were checked in by a woman at the front desk and handed over two keys to room 313. There were also flies in the room during the middle of winter.
The countertop surfaces are filled with scratches and much of the furniture in the room looks unclean. Both rooms that we were assigned were adjoining to another room. The shower leaks and appeared to have mold. Also for this hotel to only be a few years old, the rooms are already showing serious signs of wear. Do not spend the night here if you are seeking rest and relaxation. My advice to you is to drive in and then drive back home. If THEY mess up, be prepared to spend most of YOUR TIME there talking to several people while trying to get it sorted. Del Lago, though potentially promising, falls short on every level. I'll spare those that are limited on time the trouble of reading the gruesome details and summarize our experience in this first paragraph. Instead we arrived to a terrible experience from start to finish. We were looking forward to spending quality time there and creating wonderful memories.
